I am already knee deep in creating the next set of books – and they are going to be a great adventure! However, before I jump ahead to revealing the next National Park adventure to everyone, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite pages from the Great Smoky Mountains set of Baby Ranger Books.

12 flowers – from Great Smoky Mountains 123. With my background being in horticulture, I always enjoy finding wildflowers wherever I travel. I enjoy taking photos of them, digging through books to identify them, and eventually draw them. So, naturally this page is a favorite. The details that can be found in wildflowers is stunning!

Everyone loves traveling with their favorite furry friend. My dog Thule was a great travel buddy (boxer here is drawn in his memory). This page says it all though- please keep your furry friends on leash, and know where they can and cannot go- each park is going to have their own rules and regulations when it comes to dogs, a quick visit to the parks website or a phone call is all it takes to be informed- we want everyone to enjoy their National Park adventure! Do it for Baby Ranger!

Not going to lie- sometimes when i put a costume on Baby Ranger I just start to laugh. I mean, seriously… how adorable is Baby Ranger as a tree?!?!

It is easy to overlook the small little insects when surrounded by so much beauty of larger scale. But I always enjoy finding the small insects, watching how they move- how they were created to blend in with their surroundings- or appear to have large eyes to ward off predators. I find them fascinating.
These are a few of my favorites. Have you read the books? What are a few of your favorite pages? Which pages make the kiddos giggle? Let me know- I enjoy hearing what you think!
Continue on the adventure!
