I have been doing a lot of behind the scenes work this year, revamping books (interiors, descriptions, covers, and metadata (fancy, right?)). I have been mapping out goals a bit more strategically, and learning some marketing and advertising. Around mid-April my Redwood Books were placed on the shelves of all of Redwood National and State Park visitor centers, that was exciting!
During this behind the scenes work, I realized that some of the most visited pages on my website are the free downloadable coloring pages. It only made sense to create some complimentary coloring books to go along with my books! Read a book, and color matching pages in a coloring book…sounds like a great way to spend sunny summer afternoons!
The first TWO coloring books have launched. ABC birds Coloring Book, that complements my top selling book of all time, ABC birds EVERGLADES. And Exploring COLORS – a BEARY silly toddler Coloring Book, that complements one of my favorite books, Exploring COLORS Great Smoky Mountains.
It is exciting to branch out and offer these alongside my Baby Ranger Books. Growing up I spent hours and hours coloring, which led to the dream of being a children’s book illustrator. There will be additional coloring books launching this year, and I have a launch planned for Sep/Oct for another Baby Ranger Book 🙂 yay!
