FIRST FRIDAY FUN FACT – JULY EDITION:
Did you know Baby Ranger Books are sold at 3 different National Parks? This is exciting stuff! More park stores are reviewing books now, and I hope they find Baby Ranger educational and engaging and decide to add them to their selection of children’s books. I am happy to have my books sold by the following park partners:
Redwood Parks Conservancy, the nonprofit park partner for Redwood National and State Parks, sells ABC REDWOODS, and COLORS REDWOODS in all 5 visitor centers within the park!
Crater Lake National History Association, the nonprofit park partner for Crater Lake National Park, sells HELLO CRATER LAKE, and will soon have ABC CRATER LAKE!
Yellowstone Forever, the nonprofit park partner for Yellowstone National Park, sells all three Baby Ranger Books based in Yellowstone. ABC, 123, and small+BIG. They have 11 stores throughout Yellowstone!

Did you know that not all stores inside National Parks are operated by a nonprofit? The nonprofit park partners support parks through funds from your purchases, memberships, and donations. Proceeds often support education programs, printing of park maps and brochures, junior ranger programs, field institute programs, and special projects (to name a few). Next time you visit a park, check to see if you are shopping in the non-profit gift store. Your purchase could help make a difference! If you’re feeling generous, ask what special projects are happening in the park and how your donation can help!
Traveling to several parks throughout the year? Become a member of your favorite National Park’s nonprofit, or the nonprofit any park you visit. Memberships help the park, and give you a DISCOUNT on purchases!! Over 500 participating public lands locations will recognize other park memberships and you can receive a discount at all of them, WIN-WIN! Members often receive inside information about what is happening in the park, and special offers for events and other fundraising opportunities.
Visiting a park and don’t see a Baby Ranger Book on the shelf? Ask a park store associate if they have heard of Baby Ranger Books, and suggest they should carry them 🙂 Suggestions are generally noted and passed along to the decision-makers!
